Why having a laptop pocket in your travel backpack is essential

Any experienced traveler knows that traveling light is the key to a great journey. Carrying a huge luggage around will not only slow you down considerably, it may actually annoy you to the point where it ruins your whole trip. This is especially true if you find yourself on narrow European streets, or cobbled streets in Asia.

Travel with a Travel Backpack with a Laptop Pocket

With that in mind, what would be your best option? In my opinion, a proper carry-on bag or a high-quality backpack are the perfect tools for this job. Naturally, we all have different needs, but most Nomads would work just fine with a couple of clothing items and some toiletries. Of course, we wouldn’t be called Digital Nomads if it didn’t involve technology as well. For our line of work, having a decent laptop is a necessity. Still, with all of that traveling around, it’s important to keep it safe at all time. In this article, we will explain why having a laptop pocket in your travel backpack is essential. Stick around and find out.

Safety is the number one priority

Although Digital Nomads don’t have a lot of personal belongings, laptops are definitely our bread and butter. With the development in technology, it has become possible to work from any location imaginable, as long as it has the Internet connection, and this little gadget is our window to the world. Without it, we would be lost! A laptop pocket is there to protect it from any type of hits, and will always keep it safely in place.

Through traveling, you will meet a bunch of awesome people, and unfortunately, chances are you’ll also run into some shady characters as well. Being able to carry your laptop wherever you go ensures that nobody will have a chance to steal it. Don’t get us wrong, we are not trying to scare you. All we are saying is that a decent backpack will give you that extra piece of mind. Can you really put a price tag on that?

Top-notch practicality

Life on the road can be difficult at times, there’s no denying that. When it seems that all chips are down, the last thing you would ever want is to deal with a backpack that will annoy you even further. Seriously, put yourself in this scenario.

It’s cold, you’re in the middle of nowhere, lost, and it’s starting to rain. To make matters worse, you’re behind on your deadlines, and need to act fast, or you’re gonna lose a client. After searching for half an hour, you finally find a coffee shop with a steady Wi-Fi connection, eager to dig into the work. And yet, instead of reaching for your laptop in a matter of seconds, you need to remove all the content from your bag in order to find that missing cable! It all ends up in a trash bin just outside...

Sound infuriating, and yet, so plausible, am I right? Avoid putting yourself in this type of situation entirely by acquiring a decent backpack today! Furthermore, if you’re a first time traveler, having multiple compartments will allow you to select things that are vital, and it’ll help you get rid of that extra weight.

It’s simply more comfortable

Having a comfortable backpack should definitely be your number one concern! There are many different types of backpacks, with external or internal frames, so make sure the one you have chosen fits your body type perfectly. In the text above, we have already mentioned that having a laptop pocket will ensure safety when it comes to sudden drops and things of that nature. However, what we didn’t mention is the fact that the extra padding in that section will benefit your comfort as well. If you consider that as a minor setback, consider what it feels like getting poked with cables wherever you go. Doesn’t sound that interesting now, does it?
