In one of our previous articles, we’ve already mentioned that teaching English language might be a great option to earn money abroad. This time, however, we will get into specifics by naming 5 countries that are best suited for this line of work.

Before we begin, let’s name a few countries that did not make the list, but at least deserve an honorable mention.

Spain - The main reason why Spain wasn’t on the list is due to the country’s economic downturn in recent years. Still, you can make an honest living here, and Spain is among the most beautiful countries in Europe, so give it a shot.

Costa Rica - Who wouldn’t want to live in this tropical paradise? On the plus side, the cost of living isn’t great, so you won’t be affected by somewhat of a low salary. Unfortunately, it is hard to get a job here, as local usually have the advantage.

Turkey - Due to political turmoil, we had to leave it out, as this country just isn’t safe these days, and it’s a bummer. Salaries are great, the history of this place will blow you away, and after a hard day at work, you can enjoy in the sunny beaches and delicious cuisine. Is it worth it? You be the judge.

  1. Taiwan

Looking for a place that offers lots of opportunities, great salaries and awesome teaching benefits? Taiwan is definitely the place to consider. Because it is so perfectly suited for this line of work, you will be able to meet a lot of people with similar interest to yours, and make some great friends. Still, their culture is unique, and locals are not too open to the western influence, so be aware of this. However, if you are adaptable, we assure you that Taiwan is one of the best places you will ever visit.

  1. China

Throughout history, China always had a reputation of being unwilling to accept foreign influences, but today, things have changed dramatically. They put a special emphasis on learning the English language, and because of that, jobs are very easy to find. Furthermore, they are also handsomely paid, often offering bonuses such as free housing and airfare reimbursement. Their English still isn’t the best, but if you have the energy, you can achieve great things here.

  1. Czech Republic

The capitol city of Czech Republic, Prague, is without a doubt, one of the most gorgeous European cities. Not only that, but it offers a ton of opportunities to foreign teachers as well. Why wasn’t it no. 1 then? To be brutally honest, the pay isn’t the highest, especially compared to countries that hold first two spots on this list, but it offers so much more in return. Everything is Europe is just a stone’s throw away, and the locals are also known to throw wild parties from time to time. It is an experience you will cherish for the rest of your life.

  1. Thailand

Affordable cost of living, great weather throughout the year and delicious cuisine, what’s not to like? The only thing that’s holding Thailand back from no. 1 on our list is the pay, which isn’t particularly high, so chances are you won’t go here to save a ton of money. Instead, this amazing country offers everything else, and the option to live the life to the fullest. Try it out for a few months. Chances are you will fall in love with this place.

  1. South Korea

When it comes to teaching English, South Korea is the best country out there, by a long shot. Not only that it offers the best salaries, they also include amazing bonuses such as airline reimbursement, free housing and even healthcare! But the story doesn’t end here. The costs of living in this country are dirt cheap, so you will be able to boost your bank account quite a bit while working here. Because of all this, South Korea is full of young, ambitious teachers, so you will never feel lonely. Sounds too good to be true? Don’t believe us, witness it yourself!
