How is Standard's Carry-on the maximum legal carry-on size?
Standard's Carry-on conforms to international airline standards for carry on luggage. We surveyed every major international airline carry-on baggage policy when designing our Carry-on. We wanted to ensure that it would work anywhere, even with the most restrictive carry-on policies such as the ones you may encounter when travelling in Europe, Asia or even budget airlines.
Most airlines allow luggage up to 45 linear inches which translates to common dimensions of 22 x 14 x 9. Each airline has slight variations in the length, width, or height. We designed our Carry-on to fall within those specifications exactly.
Carry-on is up to 21.5 x 13.5 x 7.5 inches when collapsed, and up to 21.5 x 13.5 x 9.5 when expanded. Therefore we can confidently say that our Carry-on is the maximum legal carry on size depending on how you are carrying it.
The expandable zip is a huge feature that allows you to maximize the size of SOLO depending on the airline policy you are flying with. And yes! our Carry-on will work on RyanAir.
Remember: always check your airlines carry on guidelines before you fly.
As always, travel safe and happy... and don't forget to send us your pictures while on the road!
